WHY IS THIS VOLUNTARY RECALL HAPPENING?
In accordance with CPSC’s new Safe Sleep for Babies Act, which can apply to a broad range of baby products, including baby swings, Jool Baby is updating our Nova Swing to better communicate that the product is not intended for sleep.
You can continue using the Nova Swing to help keep your baby entertained and engaged. However, if your baby falls asleep while in the swing, remove baby and place on a firm, flat surface such as a crib or bassinet. Using the Nova Swing or any product with an angle above 10 degrees is not safe for sleep.
Please note that there have been no reported incidents with the Jool Baby Nova Baby Swing.
New government regulations require that we update warning labels and instructions on the product, packaging, and marketing of the Nova to make it clear to consumers that infant swings are not safe for babies to sleep in.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY NOVA IS AFFECTED BY THE VOLUNTARY RECALL?
Voluntary Recalled swings are those with a manufacture date from June 2022 through September 2023. The manufacturing date can be found on the sewn-in warning label on the back of the swing’s seat.
IF MY NOVA BABY SWING WAS AFFECTED BY THIS VOLUNTARY RECALL, WHAT EXACTLY WILL I RECEIVE?
When you register, we will send you new written instructions, updated on-product warnings, new hanging plush toys with non-sleep themes (sun, cloud, rain drop), and a new remote control.
HAVE THERE BEEN ANY REPORTS OF INJURIES USING THE NOVA SWING?
No.
We are voluntarily recalling the earlier Nova model out of an abundance of caution. All Nova products are rigorously and routinely tested for consumer safety and comply with consumer product safety standards and requirements.
CAN I USE THE NOVA SWING FOR INFANT SLEEP?
No.
The swings pose a suffocation risk if used for infant sleep because they have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, which is not permitted under CPSC's Infant Sleep Products Regulation and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Consumers should never use the recalled swings for sleep.

IS THERE A COST FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS, SHIPPING, OR HANDLING?
No.
DO YOU SHIP REPLACEMENT KITS INTERNATIONALLY?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY NOVA REPLACEMENT KIT?
Your replacement kit will be shipped as soon as possible, approximately 2-4 weeks from your registration.
ARE THE NOVA SWINGS WHICH ARE CURRENTLY SOLD ONLINE OR IN STORES AFFECTED BY THE VOLUNTARY RECALL?
All Nova Swings with updated toys (Sun, Cloud, Rain Drop) currently for sale (or purchased after January 8, 2024) are fully updated and meet all consumer product safety standards and requirements.
I RECIEVED MY NOVA AS A GIFT CAN I STILL GET AN UPDATE KIT?
Yes.
